Has your car had tinting installed on the windows ? It is very common for less skilled window tinters to screw up when removing/refitting the door trims and cause rattles. They often break the fasteners and just hope they'll get away with it.

Our Climate Control issue self rectified a day before it was due to go into the dealer, I suspect that something was jammed behind the dash which came good as now all vents switch as they should. No further issues to report with the car so we're happy campers.

The car is going for tinting on Thursday though so I hope it doesn't come back with more rattles. My tinter mate is usually good enough to get the tint right without removing trim though.

Yes, the dealer tinted the windows, and I do suspect, that is the cause, just need to find the time to take a tech on some potholed roads to show that the doors rattle,

2 broken fasteners fell out of the rear hatch trim, so the dealer couldn't argue that one.

          cheers

Many dealers don't actually do the tinting themselves - they sub-contract the work out to the cheapest tinter they can find, with predictable results: problems for the car owner, higher profit for them.

Make sure they fix everything to your satisfaction.
