Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Pump and lift the throttle repeatly and you will found the car is reving without moving, floor it when you ready and the car will launch itself.

There is a launch control, not sure the exact steps...check your manual.

I think is something like this

      1. Put gears to S
      2. Turn off ESP
      3. Rev + Brake
      4. Let go

Yes there is a launch control and your description on how to use it (in a VW that has it fitted) is correct... HOWEVER it is not fitted to the TSI118 with the DSG7 OAM gearbox. Try it and see - It wont work. From my understanding it is unlikely to appear as an option on the DSG7 down the track either.

Mine wont do bunny hops, just stand still and launch itself... big wheel spin (about 2 second before it grips and charge) tho...
