I am becoming addicted to the smell and apart from that it seems to work OK. Anyone know what brew VW put in pre delivery?

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

VW Sell their own formula. Depending on which dealer you go to they normally give you a bottle of it at your first service.

I wonder if it is a Wurth product with VW packaging ? IIRC some of the other (cheaper) proucts can gum up the washer jets.2017 MY18 Golf R 7.5 Wolfsburg wagon (boring white) delivered 21 Sep 2017, 2008 Octavia vRS wagon 2.0 TFSI 6M (bright yellow), 2006 T5 Transporter van 2.5 TDI 6M (gone but not forgotten).

I didn't see it in Wurth product catalog, will have to ask my Wurth rep.
I use Vaico windscreen washer additive, it smells like orange, one 25ml bottle treats 2.0L of water. I buy it from HSY Autoparts.Performance Tunes from $850Wrecking RS OCTAVIA 2 Link

Local VW dealer uses a little red satchel when servicing. They gave me a couple, but also ordered me in a couple of bottles of G 052 164 M2 for which I paid $7.50 each. Anyone know how big the washer tank is on the MK6? 5L perhaps?Golf Mk6 118 TSI DSG |APR Stage I ECU Upgrade | HEX-USB+CAN

I bought a bottle of VW windscreen washer fluid and foolishly mixed it as per the label for sunny conditions, ie 1 part fluid to 4 parts water. The guy at the parts counter did say use only a cap full. I should have listened to him as I now have a suds laden wash solution which spits rather than sprays on the window. I am now trying to get this crap out of the system so I can dilute it down with water.MY 12 Golf GTI
