Just wanted to know if anyone from Sydney is waiting for delivery of their car - Or has been informed when the next batch is coming !
Ive been tracking several cars which has docked in Melbourne anyone else in the same boat

I am watching a ship in Auckland ATM that is supposed to have my wife's 118TSI on board. Port Kembla 21/9. Was supposed to be 17/9.

Wow - Mine docked in melbourne on Saturday but now i can't track it - does anyone know how long it takes from docking to the dealer - my dealer is in Sydney !

Mine was a Brisbane delivery. It arrived on June 8th, & I took delivery on June 29th.
It takes approx 2 weeks thru Customs, & then a week or so for pre-delivery etc through the dealer.

When was the build date of your car? I ordered mine about 3 months ago but havent bothered to get in contact with the dealer. Hopefully its on the same boat!

well i ordered my 118tsi end of July and then was advised that it was to be delivered in dec and i was - so i asked them what was on a boat that i can have and they had a few black ones and reflex silver, so i chose the silver one and it is probably just sitting on the dock now hahahahhah
Problem is i just sold my car!! My plates are sitting at the RTA which i probably have to pay a holding fee now!!
Ahhh wellls i guess i just have to be patient !!!

I'm waiting on a Mk 6 too (118TSI, DSG, Sp.) - ordered last month, have been told by the dealer it is scheduled to be built later this month, after which they'll have a firmer date for delivery. I've been promised (ha!) it'll be delivered before Christmas, so we'll see.

As far as tracking delivery is concerned - how do people do this (as mentioned above)? I know about this site:

but I believe that needs a VIN - right?

Tips on tracking methods appreciated.

Yeah - you need to have your vin number and u place that in the cargo field and then you track it from where its left to where it has to go and all that LOL

I ordered mine over the weekend (19/9) and estimate delivery date is end of Jan 2010.

Yep, mine was on the Oberon too (I'm in Brisbane). So it arrived on the weekend. It will be interesting, and no doubt frustrating, to see how long it takes to get to me. No dealer fitted anything, so hopefully not too long!
