18" Wheels on Mk6

Anyone option any of the 18" wheels on their Mk6??

I want to get some 18s at some stage but not sure how it will look without lowering, or how lowering will go with ACC.

I have the sport pack, but not sure if the car is lowered enough to stop it having that raised look.

Also, anyone ever purchased wheels from Tempe Tyres? They have a lot of replica VW/Audi wheels that seem to be substantially cheaper than the real thing.

18" wheels from the factory are only worth it if you are worried about insurance and aftermarket wheels.

I would go tempetyres for copies or even ebay for copies/reals, however the replicas are made to the same standards or so i have been led to believe.

Lennock in Canberra has the VW OEM 18" Monzas on a Mk6, it looks pretty good too.

If buying replicas try and source the Italian made ones if possible. Some of the reps come from China and their quality might not be so good.

I got 17" genuines off ebay and refurbished them. Might be a cheaper option to find some 18's and refurb them.

VMR 710's look awesome, love the concave multi-branch design.
The only problem would be currency exchange and postage to australia (if it is doable)

You have been able to buy them from Volkswagen parts for some time now, but at cost of $4500.

So, yeah, hopefully they'll be an option somewhere around $1500, or less.

I just ordered a set of the 07's for 1250 delivered although i think im gonna get hit with gst fees. I get my new mk6 in october so wont have pics for a month or so

I PM'd the VMR guys selling the V710s on golfmkv.com. Works out at just under $1400AUD delivered. But yeah, will probably cop GST on top of that I guess.
