Possible to get under $35000? I know it is no way to get such lower price in the ACT, I will try Sydney then.

Has anyone actually bought a 90TSI? Pretty much everyone here is looking at either the 118TSI or the diesel. I wanted to get a 90TSI for my mother in law because a) she's on a tight budget and b) she wouldn't use or need any of the extra's in the 118TSI.

Anyone got a driveaway price they've managed to get for 90TSi with metallic paint as the only option?

I went to a Sydney City dealer who claims that the dealer delivery charge for a Golf6 was 2.5K. I know I was told it was 2K by Brookvale in April.


Does anyone know if this has gone up to 2.5K universally - perhaps at the same time the dealers have to quote on-road prices?


While it WILL be negotiated away, by adding another $500, the implication as hinted to me yesterday was they were doing me a really really big favour by waiving it. It smacks of raising the price to then discount it.

The 2.5k is not a universal figure but i wouldn't be surprised if there is collusion amongst them. When I bought my missus' car it was 2k.

When i rang the dealer I was told that I will have to wait between 2 - 3 months for it (at this point I had not mentioned my doubts) I then asked if there were any 118's available and was offered one from the show room floor. I took it and drove away less than one week later. Love the car glad i walked away from the mazda dealer I was in a week earlier.

Also can anyone tell me why in the owners manual there are so may features that the Australian cars dont have? ie digital radio station presets, draws under the front seats, adaptive cruise control...the list goes on. Thanks

Congratz On the purchased, I think it is a very good deal considering on the popularity of the car.

You'll never regret walking away from Mazda dealer, The new 3 will never be comparable to the new Golf. journalist once said:
'Stepping out from the Mazda to the new golf is like moving from Seat 47F(economy class) in boeing 747 to seat 3F (business class/first class)' And mazda 3 sp25 lost in term of acceleration 80-120 in most gear.

Car manufacturers add or deduct certain features so that the car fits into the particular price category they want that car to be sold in.
