Mike Sinclair rates the new GTI 3.5/5.0

Sinclair says the new car is better in all respects than the MK V except perhaps the steering feels different (due to the electronic LSD ?? ) yet rates it only 3.5/5.0.

Given that the MKV won best car awards multiple times in multiple countries, this rating just has to be stupid. Or am I biased

I mean, it has scored the highest NCAP safety rating ever and he still only scores it 4/5 for safety

Uk times online gave it five stars. They said it was smoother, more refined and more 'special' than the mk5.

He states that it's better than the MKV, so what did he rate the MKV; 3/5???
To quote him - "It was always going to take a very special hot hatch to wrest the real world honours from Golf 5 GTI. That very special hot hatch is the Golf 6 GTI. The King is dead. Long live the King..."
Maybe he didn't get enough goodies at the launch!
