Forum only readable to users

The server is being hammered again by crawlers, we are seeing tens of thousands of "users" online. Rather than give up and take the whole thing offline, I've switched it over so users must be logged in to even read the forum. I've also removed the ads completely once you're logged in since they are now basically worthless and annoying.

It's not ideal, but it keeps things online for now until I work out a better approach.

I doubt the Mk VII will look anything like the Mk V/VI.

That rear end looks HIDEOUS! What are they thinking!!!
Hopefully it looks nothing like that in the end

Front end on that design looks nice, rear end a bit fussy. Nice, but makes the Mk VI look instantly dated.

Love it, devalue the new model before it is on the market.

Might be ready for a new golf in 2012...

Yeah, I'd say that will give us a few more clues.

Back looks like an Astra, front looks like a cross between a Scirocco and a duck...

back looks like a Citroen more than anything.... i wouldn't buy one (a base model anyway) as it just looks awkward. throw a good set of wheels, a nice kit and a lower ride height and that could make for a VERY mean looking GTI/R20T.

If a lot of the mkVII's parts come from the new Polo, then I'll be getting the Polo

                          I'm excited

Also, I think the look of that mkVII is fantastic! Well, the front end at least. The rear is, as Lorenz nicely put it, HIDEOUS!!

Isn't the C -pillar supposed to be the trademark of the golf design? They've totally munted it in that photoshop.

I would doubt the styling of the MkVII would be finalised at this point 3 years before release and only months after the MkVI was released. I would doubt even more that VW would let it be seen, this to me is pure speculation.
