Hi All,
My manual golf cranks, but won't start. There is no catch, splitter, cough etc, just cranking.
Things I've checked
- checked for error codes. None showing.
- pulled and cleaned the spark plugs.
- popped the fuel cap off and on again in case the was a vacuum in the fuel system.
- when I put the key in and turn it to accessories, I can hear what I assume is the fuel pump priming.
- locked and unlocked the car with the fob to ensure the immobilizer is disabled.
Other facts which may be pertinent:
- I replaced the Air Flap Actuator last week, and it ran like a dream when testing and on subsequent trips that day. Since then it's been unused for the past six days of the Christmas and New year period.
- It's been hot today. I've read that this can make starting hard at times. Having said that, it was only Tassie hot (28°).
If anyone can offer some guidance on what to check next, I'd greatly appreciate any further thoughts.
Lance
