revo chip for 103kw tdi takes it to 138kw
revo chip for 125kw gt takes it to 157kw

most other chips take the 103 to about 125 and the 125 to about 150

apparently on the gt if you fit a new intake and exhaust the turbo can churn out 180 crank kw's... but i will know first hand sometime this year.

Slightly offtopic - when is it ok to chip/flash a TDI? From new or should you let the car 'settle-in' first?

Personal choice - as there is no official "run in" period these days, its really just a comfort thing to run a car stock.

We do several cars a month that have not even been pre delivered!

All the "decent" HP increases and "names" are ECU reflash, but if you're worried about a POD my man, well an ECU is a MUCH bigger gamble warranty wise! One of the reason's I am taking my time..... but hey, I like the way you think!

I fitted an exhaust from the cat back to my GT TDI recently. It's a 2.5" tube job with no resonator and all the glass packing removed from the muffler. The guys who fitted it found it quite a challenge to get any kind of note from it. They've done the best they could but it's still barely noticeable. I'm sure it has made an improvement over the stock, more free flowing and not to mention the weight reduction, the stock job is huge.

Has anyone else out there fitted an exhaust to the TDI yet? What success have you had with producing a note from it?

how fast to 100 are the chipped GT diesels? anyone know what the REAL figure is (dynolicious or gtech), rather than the brochure number?

from my search's on youtube the VW 4cyl diesel with an exhaust just sounds like a jet cos all you hear is turbo whistle....

ill be able to tell you sometime next year if i get any kind of note out of my TDI

Would you be able to hear it over the tractor rattle anyhow?
