again thanks for the feedback guys. Your brake squeeks sound like the same description as mine, so i guess i can put up with it.

I thought my mirrir was meant to dip and have activated and deactivated it on my MFD, but so far no good. Will take to VW

    Thank again all

        2. If my understanding is correct my left mirror is meant to dip when the car is in reverse (providing it it on 'yes' in my MFD). Mine doesnt do this but am yet to speak to VW about it...Any ideas?

        Cheers
        Hey Dream,

You are turning the mirror adjustment switch to 'left' to get the mirror dipping aren't you?. Mine won't dip unless in the left position.

And above about 15kmh going forward the mirror returns to the original position.

        Cheers

And yes I think the GT, GTI and Jetta TFSI are running the same brakes in terms of the rotor diameter (according the the specs on Carsales anyway) please correct me if I'm wrong.
I don't know about the TFSI but the GT and GTI have the same rotor diameter.

The GTI one's work far faster however because the calipers are red

            i got jetta.

my windows dip. you gotta put that window nozzle on L position and then put the car in R the window then tilts down so you dont ruin the rims.

my brakes squeel like a bitch. they have been since bout 1500km im on 25000km now. sometimes i just ride the brakes at start stop traffic and let them squeel like a squeeling pig. they must be some really crap brakes. i'll take in for service at 30,000km and get VW to fix it.

Even when my mirror is on the left it still wont dip. I actually got all excited and thought this was my problem. Oh well will definitely have to see VW

Agree on the bakes Moguzhan, i just hate when im pulling up out the front of places and everybody turns and looks when they har the brakes. So embarrassing, especailly with a NEW car

I'm pretty sure that you have to set the dip position - but I can't remember how to do it. Something like: put mirror dial in "L" position, put car into Reverse, set desired mirror angle. When you put it in drive and get to about 15km/h it resets to its original position, and will go back to the dip position when you put it into reverse.

Check the manual - you definitely have to set the position.

Mine's giving me grief because it doesn't always return fully to its original position, so it slowly points down over time.

                Cheers,

IMHO....you must have Rear Parking Sensors in order to have the left mirror capable of dipping.
