  • Proper specs of the 10 speaker stereo (mp3 6 stacker)

    Hi all.

Has anyone go the exact specs on the standard 10 speaker stereo. As in what RMS are the speakers, is there or isn't there an amp etc. More specifically for a Jetta TSI. I keep reading different things and a search didnt bring anything up for me.

    Thanks in advance!

Would be good to know what all the speaker sizes (for all 10) from someone that has pulled there door panels apart or replaced the stock speakers with something of better quality.

My reason for wanting to know exact specs is because I'm putting in a sub, which obviously needs an amp. Trick is I can go a 4 chan amp, and punch some more power through the front speakers. But if they already have a decent enough amp this would obviously be pointless. Likewise if the speakers aren't rated overly powerful, powering them up will just kill them.

Why oh why wasn't there they Dynaudio option for the Jetta... Would have made it much easier.

yes the dynaudio stuff is toppppps

well tell me this do your frint speakers distort when you crank it up? are they loud enough? if so then no you don't need a 4 channel. if they do distort i would be guessing time for some bigger speakers in the front in which this case yes i would go a 4 channel...or a mono and a 2 channel.

otherwise just go a 2 channel and get a sub.

Most speakers are destroyed by running the head unit/amp to clipping(distortion).A 20wt speaker hooked up to a 50wt amp amp is fine as long as you dont run the sound so loud it distorts(it will distort at the end of the amps usable range).A 150wt speaker will be destroyed in minutes if run from the same amp at distorted levels. A 4x50 is plenty loud enough for most people(every thing will be shaking in you car at high vol levels anyway).
