          • Nice one. I wasn't 100% sure what an ALK was when I ordered one but it's well worth it.

In real world terms, combined with rear bushes, it kinda pushes the wheels to the road more so you get better grip in corners and undualting road surfaces.

I was very happy with it. Get rear bushes to match

Yeah bro bit by bit I want to sort the sloppy suspension up.
Have you noticed extra steering feel as well? The ALK combined with rear s/bar should sort out the understee when on the throttle out of corners, to some extent anyway. Cant wait!

                • I had my MK5 GTi DSG remapped today. Who's a happy boy then ? Picked up 20Kw and 70Nm. Now makes 161.7 atw's. I know, it's only a figure. Stock was 139.3kw atw's.

Thats a healthy stock power figure?! How mad is the torque difference with a flash tune.. love it!

Whiteline bar is now on my GTI and the difference is noticable straight away! Major reduction in mid corner to exit understeer and much better power down.
                    A must do mod!

                      • Hey adzy,

                        A few questions for you.......

What size whiteline did you get?
Adjustable or not? I'm thinking about the same for the rear end of my Jetta.
Also, what price & where did you buy from?

Just Bluefin flashed my TDI today..... Yeah Ha!

I just went for the 22mm version which is not adjustable, I figured that the adjustable 24mm bar would be a little too stiff in comparison to the front end... would be great if the front end was sorted also though.

I had the boys from Pedders in South Melbourne order it in for me. Only took two days for it to arrive and I had them fit it as well which cost $254 all up.

As you would have heard "it is" the best suspension mod you can do on a FWD for the dollar. I am wrapped with the results. The car now feels like all its weight is over the front end and mid corner to exit understeer has been majorly reduced.... bit more lift off oversteer too the car feels 200kg lighter when being thrown into corners now and when powering out of corners it seems as though you have an LSD as the inside wheel doesn't break out into wheelspin as much..... well it hasn't done it once so far.
