Hi All,
I have a MK5 2.0 FSI which i now need to fit in a very narrow drive with some technical reversing needed around some posts.
The car has a fast idle on cold start which lasts for about 2.5-3 mins where it sits at 1500, the throttle works well and it doesn't hunt - just idles really fast.
The problem is that it's almost out of control in reverse at 1500rpm and the other half has already had a couple of close calls with the posts.
The car exhibits no other symptoms after the cold start, and never hunts or idles rough.
My first thought is the MAF isn't warming up quickly enough or there is a faulty temp sensor somewhere...
Any thoughts on what to replace first? no codes have been logged...
Edit:
Thanks JC, mine is a non-turbo DSG as well...
