  • Eibach Pro Kit Springs Ride Quality

Just wondering if anyone has these springs in their car and if so how they ride?? (Eg. Is the ride much harsher)

I know there will be some loss of comfort but was just wondering how much??

    Any input welcome.

    Thanks guys.

    Michael.

I had some on a MK3 16V in the UK and the ride was pants due to the shocks not being up to the job. It must have been bad as my wife even commented about it.

I would be pretty wary of fitting springs, without complimentary shocks unless it is stated somewhere, that they can work with the std shocks.

I've had Eibach Pro-Kits on my last 3 cars and and have found them to be a great compromise between handling and ride quality. There is a small loss of ride quality (you will not avoid this if you want a lower better handling car), but this is basically just increased feedback, which isn't such a bad thing anyway.

It will also depend on the type of springs you currently have, as you would notice the difference in ride quality more if you are not already running 'sport' springs. I have never found the ride to be annoyingly 'choppy', and they are certainly not harsh. If you can afford it, pair them up with some Koni FSD's, and you'll be one very happy motorist.

I too have had the Pro-kit in 2 cars. DO NOT use them with standard shocks. The damper rates will be completely unmatched to the spring rates. I have been in one Bora 4motion with Eibach springs and std shocks and the ride was absolutely terrible. If you want the lower look but want to maintain the maximum ride comfort possible, mate the Eibachs with a set of Koni FSDs.
