Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Originally posted by chrisgti View Posthad kinda bad experiences with pedders.. they sagged in my falcon n took them out of my beamer n took them straight back.. was only a small drop and the ride was much harsher than super super low king springs
Things like the shocks were the cheapest rubbish, painted and sold at a massive premium. How they ran the franchisees into the ground and then took over the site.
The guy involved had 3 or 4 stores in WA and ended up losing everything including his house over pedders actions. The same happened to many others in a similar way and it was family of the owners of pedders who stepped in and took over sites.
About the only reference you can find now is here
"7 Websites in the US devoted to the topic of problems in franchising are common, though they are often
short-lived. One example has been the www.quiznossucks.com website. See also
<http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff1602.htm accessed 26 May 2004. A few websites have appeared in Australia as well, despite franchisors’ threats of defamation. A website about Pedders has disappeared. In a telephone interview its author, a former Pedders franchisee, says lawsuits related to the franchise and the website have changed his life."website: www.my-gti.com
