Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Dont worry guys not another "what coilovers should i buy thread" I am getting a set of Weitec's installed tomorrow by Dragan and I cant wait haha.

Heard alot of good things about this guy and I hope he treats my baby well!

I could have got the coilovers somewhat cheaper from an internet site, but I am willing ti pay a premium to have everything through the one place.......

Still tossing up between 30mm-35mm-40mm lowered hrmmmm

anyway pointless thread but i will post pics once there in!

              Hi Guys,

Got the Weitecs installed this morning! They are much stiffer than the stocker VW springs but no where near as harsh as a number of people have told me coilovers would be.

I got them installed at InMotive and it was reassuring to see heaps of VW's getting serviced so these guys must know there stuff... There was a mad black mk4 r32 with v3, swaybars and a chip than look awesome.....

I wanted a final lowered height of 35mm all around so they took it down around 30mm's to allow an extra 5mm once they settle in...not after something fully slammed as its a daily driver.

if any of you are thinking of getting coils or springs I definitely recommend these guys..

I will take pics tomorrow after I use my autoglym wheel cleaner to take of one months worth of brake dust hahaha.....

                Hey adrian11,

Was nice to meet you, though didn't have much time to chat.

Will be good to see pics of your ride posted up, I didn't get a chance to really get a good look at your car, but the new ride height made it look the goods..!!
