Hi all
looking to get back into vags (the cars, snicker) for a daily and have decided on the 2L diesel DSG models.
at this stage itll be a golf or a jetta and with my budget I'm looking at quite high kms.
Ive heard diesels go forever, but should there be anything to look out for when checking out cars in the 200-300k km mark?
I've pretty much dismissed anything without a service history and im torn with that age old decision of buying a car that has less kms but closer to it's major, or a higher km car with its major already done.
Again because of the budget, ill be looking at TDI variants unless a stupendously cheap and well maintained GT comes along. fuel economy is my primary decision for buying.
On the topic of majors, can anyone recommend a shop in Melbourne and costs roughly? I've read somewhere that majors on these engine (assuming correctly maintained) are every 120k. Is that true?
thanks again
