  • Vac pump leak (fsi)

    hi guys

does anyone know the part number of the pump including seals, or just the seals? i have an FSI motor on a 07 GTI. looks to be leaking quite a lot unfortunately

wondering if anyone bothers to do the seals or just replace the whole thing?

06D145100H ? Does not look cheap.
You sure the pump is leaking air ? Oil leaks are a more common issue.
Check the hose is not cracked etc.

sorry, i meant oil was leaking from it. i'll have a closer look tonight or tomorrow but it looks wet around one of its corners, not in a rush to have it fixed as i have another car. just hate having it in my mind to deal with lol

        hi guys

went to VW and got a new vac pump seal for $28

part # VW-06D145117A (best to check with them with your VIN#)

fitted the new seal in about 30 mins and its been happy for the last week, no leaks. it was spewing all over the gearbox. bloody nightmare cleaning it up twice. glad thats over

Yeah, pretty common failure on this motor.
