Help please! GTI mk5 engine warning light

The engine warning light comes on today after she was driving her car while the engine oil cap was not probably fasten yesterday.

Wiuld there be any serious damage to the engine? I am from Melbourne northern suburb, would any member has a VAGCOM and able to check and perhaps clear the code? I can meet you at your preferred location. The question is does it safe to drive the car?

Light is orange to indicate a warning not a stop condition.
You will probably have no issues, just get someone to clear the code.

Thank you so much for offering your help Gary! My wife has taken the car to our regular mechanic in Greensborough to have the code scan and clear.

Are you specialise in servicing vw? What is the name of your workshop? We have 2 golfs and I am looking for a good mechanic to take care of the regular maintenance as we not happy with the existing one we have been used since the car was iut of warranty.
