looking to replace headlights on my TDI, what do you recommend.
+1 for 3M headlight resto kit.
If you happen to have a tube of autosol laying around too I've had good results in the past with a little of that on a soft cloth. Takes off a lot of the light scratches and yellowing.
Was considering that, but was also thinking about upgrading o something better looking or a bit flashier.
Fair call, couple of easy options to help you out in the mean time though.
What year is your TDI? I've been keeping an eye out for a decent looking set for my MK5 but am yet to find anything that doesn't look cheap or tacky. Mind you I haven't been looking too hard.
I've also seen car dealers that take to the headlights with a buffer and some polishing compound in cases where the headlights are really faded etc. They usually take the headlights out of the car to ensure the paint is not damaged when buffing.
