I like it from a purely looks point of view. I like the very clean look of the car and the wheels look good on it in my opinion.

20s look fine on a mk5 just not A8s. Never been a fan of that wheel design on anything other than luxobarges

19's would be max for me as well on a Mk5, but those A8 monobloc reps in 20" look sweet as. Actually, if the pic didn't have a caption, I would've thought they were 19".

It really depends on stance and the overall package really.

I dont get what people mean about the ride quality being harsh on 20's. I went from 16's to 19's and there wasn't any difference?!?

Coilovers is what made my ride harsher, not the diameter of the wheels...

I reckon with the right style of rim, 20's would do it justice, but I'm not a big fan of the A8 monoblock's. Reason, I just don't.

                          There's a Mk4 down my with 18" version's & I'm even torn with that one.

I personally wouldn't go any bigger than 19's. You can still get enough tyre sidewall on them to still make them comfortable for everyday use. It also depend's what sort of road's you drive on too. The road's down may way aren't exactly the smoothest either.

Had to whore out my brother's gti again. It's all back to stock now too!

I think that GTI on 20s looks awesome. A little big, but not ridiculous (like, say, a 4WD on massive chrome wheels, for example).

Tim - photos don't do your bro's car justice. Seeing them in the flesh at DoVW was awesome. The look the shiz!
