        I think you're still right

Looks a bit awkward IMO. And you'll definitely be up for big new stoppers - even on 19s you need them. The standard brakes just look hysterical on 19+.
And then you have to drop it more & more the larger the wheel.

Don't get me wrong, it's sure a wild look, but waaay more 'show' car than 'street' - but if that's your bag....

for garage/trailer/show queens, 20s fine. hell 21s are fine.. they're just pretty jack stands.

i reckon that 14s on mk1 + 1 inch for every mark works pretty well.. or even 13s on mk1 + 1 inch for every mark.

i'd say 18/19s look the best. something like 19 bbs ch's on mk5s look pretty damn good, but around 19+ you're pushing the show/street boundary

18s affected the ride quality for me..not too much but enough to tell me not to go to 19s...i drive on crappy back water roads a lot though....would be ok on decent roads.

That thing does look hot though...

18x8 ramses on a Mk2.....wonder that that would look like....redrill...guard rolling? maybe not :p

the 18 reps that i have do weigh a hell of a lot...the 20s must be like dead weights!

mmmm... it loos ok. (actually I dont think the whole look of the car...)

I'd stick with 19's really. 20's kinda make it looke "donk"
