been looking around recently on mods people done with tsi engnes. but there is not much around about it. i figured the engine is pretty new so gotta wait a bit until mods start popping up. and then i came across this.... http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/t/168664.aspx

pretty interesting anyone know much about this?

oettinger had a remap for first gen mkv gt tsi, but newer models have a different ecu, which I don't believe has been remapped yet. Chippeduk are aparently working on one, so will be interesting to see what surfaces first. I will be keeping an eye out for sure

that would be one complex chip/reflash...

how does the clutch on the supercharger work? you could just get a bigger version of both chargers...?

A bigger pulley wheel on the S/C would spin it faster.
But VW spent a lot of time getting the transition right - speeding up the S/C may upset things a bit...

As much as I would like to reflash my TSI I am pretty scared for the fact that VW did spend a lot of time making the twin charged idea work for some Professor Frink look alike in a back room of a workshop to be messing with 1's and 0's on such a complex engine!

p.s I will probably eat humble pie in the next 6 months and get a reflash

I have driven an Oettinger TSi 1.4, it makes a nice difference, and there is a huge amount of software changes in it.

Unfortunately all the later bunch of cars (including the AUS delivered ones) have a later model ECU as opposed to the first run Euro delivered cars, so at this stage, its the programming method thats the problem, not the tuning software. Wont be too much longer now!

Also have in mind getting a remap once I get the car. But i don't want to be the first to bite the bullet, and also depending how much cost associated with the upgrade. Although first Upgrades will be CAI -> Miltek Exhaust -> Remap depending on time and money

Euro delivered cars? Mine's a first model GT (not Sport) - one of the 420 first run - and it was built in South Africa. Which ones were Euro? Wasn't aware there were any.

Yeah a big glob of blower torque pre turbo would just be terrible mate...

You could always bolt on a bigger turbo to even out the bigger pulley. These kinds of ideas were WHY I walked in to actually buy a TSI, but got seduced by the less smooth diesel. We're still an item!

Possibly reactivating an old thread but has anyone fitted a milltek or other exhaust and found that the car still goes nicely without fuel cuts and stuff?
