Any idea what FAST is? I was on the vdub american site and when building up a mkv GTI it includes fast?

In the US the 'Fast' was a little, black goblin-like 'toy' they used to give to GTI owners ... didn't do it anywhere else. (You know what they say ... simple things amuse ...)

The VW FAST is the Evil Rabbit that you receive when you purchase the GTI over in the states.
As the US calls the VW Rabbit thus the little toy.
Awesome IMO, just need to buy one.
