  • Car jerks when changing mid range rpm, mounts?

    Golf GTI
    2007
    DSG
    stage 1 tune
    160000km
    dsg last service 127000km

last 3-4 weeks when driving and my car starts to pick up boost and it changes gear between 2500-3500rpm in D mode my car will jerk like a fuel cut for a second if I can explain it right and pick back up again. This only really happens in D mode as the car changes gears early and not in manual or sport because it will change late. I know D mode isn't for flooring but this happens maybe at 70% throttle like if I wanna zip from the lights. On vcds it only shows a Evap emissions code. So far is change sparks, coils, oil, fuel filter, cam follower (which wasn't really won't at all), DV twice, and a dsg adaptation. Iv also taken the tune off and got it returned back to stock but to no avail, the problem just isn't as bad as the boost doesn't pick up as fast. I don't know much about cars but I feel like the jerk happens when it changes gear is like the car didn't release the boost pressure hence the jerk? But now I'm thinking could it be the transmission or engine mounts? Exhaust issue? Any ideas?

please if someone can help or push me in the right direction it will be very helpful thanks

Similar thing happened to me the other night. Around 3,000 rpm, change up from 2-3rd.
Felt like it stumbled in the up shift. I didn't think much of it at the time, but now I've read your post, wondering what this could be.

I have APR stage 2 tune.
    sigpic07 GTI
    APR stage II
