Have only owned my MK5 Golf since late April this year, and being full time Uni, haven't had much time/money to do many of the things I've wanted. Just wanted to make a small thread detailing everything I've done/will do, mainly so I can keep track of everything over time, as well as get any tips/suggestions from everyone. 2/5/2015: Stock as a rock.
7/5/2015: Complete Interior LED Upgrade + LED Plate Lights
(Apologies for ****ty Galaxy S5 Camera, the white doesn't look nearly as blinding in real life)
One of my favourite small mods, really cleans up the look at night time

No photos of the interior since it's not really that amazing, but once again, there is a huge difference in how clean
the car looks with LED's. (PS: No canbus-friendly LED's needed for all interiors, except footwells, which I got in red for mine)
20/5/2015: Massive Aerial Antenna swapped out for a much smaller Universal CF one from Ebay for about $8
Link to item can be found here:

Comes with plenty of different sized screws, so fitment is not an issue.
5/7/2015: After a long 3 months or so of waiting and searching, I finally got my hands on a MK5 GTI Bumper, which has been one of my most anticipated mods. Victorian P-Plate Laws are so strict, we can't drive MK5 GTI's unfortunately.. but I love the honeycomb grill with red trim so much more than the standard front. Cheers to Alan (FatherlessOne) from these forums for selling the front to me, he's been extremely helpful since I had to get it shipped all the way from QLD to VIC.

After:
I thought it would be a simple swap in and out, as this GTI bumper had already been cut previously for a non-GTI, however I soon realised that I had to make some adjustments on my own front end to get it to fit nice and flush. So after some small struggles and helping hand from my mate, I couldn't be happier with the result.

Love the new look, gives it a lot more grunt and the honeycomb/red trim combo just looks perfect to me.
---------------
Few days later:
Noticed the front badge was looking a little bit stained/scratched up, so I decided to give it a new look.

Simple plastidip over the front in black, and some red paint on the inner edges to contrast it.
(I did ruin the plastidip a bit, going for a last minute touch up, which ended up with my palm grazing over it while wet and peeling it a bit, so I'll be fixing that up in a few days)
9/7/2015: Yellow Fog Light Tint
Seeing as my golf is a 2006 Comfortline TDI, it didn't come with fitted factory fog lights, however the bumper did include the foggies. Unfortunately, I can't hook them up as I don't actually have the switch/harness to even turn them on. This doesn't really bother me, as it's pretty much illegal to drive with them on anyway, and being in South-East Melbourne, I can't really say there's ever that much fog. I've decided to just give them a quick tint using some film I got off ebay for $5.

After:

Simple and effective.
Plans for the future:

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed this rather bland build.

Plans for the future:
- Rear bumper swap. (Stock is so fat and ugly and you can't see the exhaust)
- Considering getting an RCD510 Headunit, as my stock RCD300 is bugging me.
- Install the Golf R Exhaust Tips Lucas_R sent me. (Cheers again for that
)
- Changing my wheels (Already got a set of 17' Classix I'm going to dip black, just waiting on $$ for tyres)
- Possibly drop the height a bit, though not too much, as I have an annoying driveway)
- Tips/Suggestions?
