Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    LED interior light package MKV R32

    Hi Everyone,

    Im just wondering if anyone has purchased any LED light packages for the whole interior of the car including boot and licence plate for their MKV R32?

      For my 06 MKV TDI, i literally just researched which LED's required canbus (Footwells) and ebay'd everything. Considering you don't need canbus for 90% of the interior LED's, any T10 sized LED would work fine, and output can't differ THAT much seeing as it's your interior and not like, number plate lights, where the output would matter alot more.

      It worked out to be around 20$ ish, from Australian based sellers, so I got them all within a week, and they work perfectly fine for me. Never saw the use in paying ~$60 for a whole KIT, considering LED outputs can only differ so much in terms of output for your interior.

      Just my 2cents
