Is Jetta / Golf rear door the same???

Hi all,

Just starting to the jetta ready for the expected baby due for arrival in early September and would like to know has anyone purchased a sun shade for either of the rear doors that slides over both inside and out.. The only one i can get a hold of fits a golf but i have to order it in just to try it with with no refund.

Just want to know has anyone purchased one specificly for a Jetta or does the Golf one fit???

This is not directed at the OP but if you have tint do you need to fit a sun shade when you have a baby in the back?

it should fit.

i think the door is the same size except the body of the gti golf ends near the door while the jetta extends out to include a boot.

go to your local vw and measure!!!

The door is the same but the windows on top and the shape of the frame are different. The golfs frame goes up almost straight up at the back whereas the jetta's slopes forwards to follow the rear window line. So I would say that it won't fit and will be loose.
