  • Wheel fitment

    Hey guys,
I've found a set of wheels that I'm wanting to buy however for obvious reasons I want to make sure that they'll fit before I buy them,
They're 18x8 Audi wheels and the tyres are 225/40/18
And they're to go on my mk5 Jetta
    Many thanks!

What's the offset? If it's above 35 you will be fine. Absolutely no worries at all.

Why tell people that 35 and above et on 18x8 will be fine?
Not everyone want's to lip there guards, run poke, stretch tyres or big camber.

18x8 45et with 225/40's will fit with no issues.

18x8 + 35 is not lip in guard or anywhere near.

It is a about the closest you can go with being at various heights and stock guards etc.

If you are planing to be absolutely slammed on Coilovers you will want to go a slightly skinnier tyre to avoid rubbing but even if you stay with 225/40/18 on an 8 with an offset of 35 and higher you will be fine, with a 225 you will get rubbing when you go very low.
