  • Front end clunk.

I've got a golf V diesel 1.9 man and just over 100,000km. It has developed a clunk from the front end, slightly under power but more so under braking(jabbing at the brakes). It still has a slight clunk in the susp over big sp humps but this front end one is fairly new.
Anyone have any obvious ideas where to look and what to check before I go to a mech. I may go to the dealer a/c only a couple of months out of warranty. Or go to the dealer anyway a/c susp not correct.

    G'day NeilG,

    Could be loose engine mounts?

Easy to get to? What would I look for? Bits of rubber, loose bolts, wear?
      Thanks

Do a search and you may find something - My reply was from reading something a while back so worth a look around. I am mechanically challenged so I can't give much advice on what to look for.

        Good luck.

No worries Spoddy. I'll have a look and see what I come up with.

          Have a good day
