mk5 wheels clearing brakes

specs are 17x8 et35 , do most wheels clear the brakes?
i know it's all up to the design of the wheels but is it common for aftermarket wheels or not clear them.
any response would be great.

Is all up to the individual wheel. I'd like to say most will clear but it really is a case by case basis.

Also really depends what mk5 you have.. R32 brakes are a lot bigger than 1.9 tdi. Best to test fit but you probably would be ok.

this isn't for an mk3 it's for a mk5 or 6, they're 5x112, i'm posting them up for sale.

My stock 17" Classix are 7 inches wide with an offset of 53. They clear my R32 brakes I have on my Golf V.

yes, they'll clear - unless they are the weirdest wheels ever made
