  • Broken seat latch pacific

just got my pacific yesterday and found out:

rear left seat's latch is broken, so the seat can be folded down without pressing the button.

rear arm rest's latch is broken, if you rest your arm on it, it will just drop down.

for people who are picking up their pacific, please check it.

can't be bother to go back to the dealer, will get them to fixed it when i have my first service.

If I'm not mistaken, warranty on the new cars is 3yrs parts and 1yr labor.

Typical service is 15,000km or 1year, which ever comes first. So by chance, couldn't your service fall outside the "free labor" warranty period and you will have to pay for labor to get the latches fixed/replaced?

i will probably ask them to fix it at around 7,500 and ask them to do an oil change for me as well. just to save one trip

Never heard that one before, the following is from the VW Aust website:-
"To give you peace of mind, all new Volkswagen Passenger and Commercial vehicles with the exception of the Crafter are protected by a 3 year 100,000km factory warranty. This factory warranty covers you against manufacturing or material faults and includes a 3 year paintwork warranty. Your vehicle is also protected by a 12 year anti-corrosion perforation warranty for your complete reassurance. Your vehicle warranty cover commences from the first day the vehicle is registered or on the date its original owner first uses the vehicle."

        Nothing about 1 year labour.

        Cheers
