  • Rain Closing???

Saw this on the Skoda site, was wondering if its available on the Golf. I just poured water over the sensor and sunroof didnt close, would be quite handy for me as my s/roof is open 80% of the time

    Rain Closing
I tried it out on a newer spec vRS than mine....a vRS TDi , works great, this car had a sunroof but I also tried it on a mates one without a sunroof and BOTH worked.
Set it on the Maxi Dot, put all windows & sunroof down, locked car, then poured water over the rain sensor, hey presto the windows and sunroof closed.

So can anyone find out what setting needs to be cahnges in Vag-Com...for us with the original Maxi Dot ?

    Its a neat feature.

you can do it. you can even get the car to close the sunroof if its just sitting in the street and it starts raingin (ie when the car is off and you're nowhere near it) all you need is a vagcom and the knowledge of which specific things you need to change

Easy to do with Vag Com.
I dont have the sunroof but have enabled the option for the windows close when raining. Even got the option in the MFD settings too now.
If you want to get it done and dont have Vag Com I'd be happy to give it a go for you. I live in the Lilydale area.

EDIT: Whats the original Maxi Dot.?

No idea about maxi dot, it was a direct copy from the skoda site.

Is there anything else that vag.com can do thats worth turning on. i get out to lilydale on occasion, might give you a call next time im heading out and take you up on the offer.

            Cheers

              Hey there

I have tried with no avail for the last 2 days to get this working.

Did the decimal coding and the byte 09 to 04 blah blah.

              Here is my standard coding.

The roof in Dad's Q7 doesn't close in the rain... as I once discovered.
