  • interchangable parts for MK V jetta <--> golf

    Hi guys

I picked up my jetta TFSI today and im loving it.....and already im thinkin about ways to customise it with some mods....few quick questions however...

    1) im wanting to buy these

even though these are made for the GOLF GTI, would these items fit the jetta?

    2) are golf GTI headlamps interchangable with the Jetta's? (i.e if i wanted the "smoked" headlight look the GTI has, can I buy some GTI headlights and whack em on the jetta?)

    3) question as above, but the bonnet.

    4) question as above, but the GTI steering wheel with the paddles....is it possible to make them work on the jetta

    5) question as above, but the GTI gear knob from the DSG....are u able to change it?

    6) question as above, but the GTI dash

p.s mind you, im just curious about Q2,3,4,5 and 6. I'm sure those parts and labour would cost me my both my arms and legs and possibly my left nut, but im thinking of getting the gauge pods

I'm pretty sure you can change the gear knob from the GTI to Jetta because they are sold as separate units, afterall i think the only difference between the Jetta knob and the GTI one is the looks.

Try vwvortex i think there was a DIY one there.

Congratulations, enjoy the Jetta...I am sure you will love it.
        Post some pics.
Personally,I would keep it as it came from the factory.
Look at the American VW website, you will find the GLI,which is actually a Jetta With GTI specs.
I saw some last year when I was there, and they look HOT.
The majority of Jettas are 2.5 models, which look identical to our FSI non turbo models.

hahahah yeah....im not actually considering these as options for future mods cuz like i said they will take too much money from my pocket and wont be bang for buck...more of a wank factor

but i will be doing a K04 turbo upgrade, APR ecu reflash and the APR intercooler.
