  • Jetta TSI fuel economy

Just wondering what everyone else is getting in the way of fuel economy.
Ours has averaged about 8.5L/100k for its first 3000k's.
According to the trip meter and the distance to empty display i should get about 700k's to a tank. that's a mixture of freeway and stop start suburbia driving.
Longest i have run it has been 600k's and filled it back up with 47.5L.

My Jetta was reading between 8.5 - 9.5L/100km for the first 3000kms and then it's has gotten slightly worse it's around 10 - 11L/km. (I go off the petrol station invoices and my log)

I must admit that I am driving it a little harder now that I'd gotten used to the car's characteristics. Also, my engine oil is looking a bit used (it's done about 7000kms), I might change it soon and see whether that changes the fuel consumption.
