Trim piece forward of gear lever (under aircon controls)

Hi All,

I'm a new GTI owner - 2007 model with DSG. (New to VW also!)

I have noticed that there seems to be a piece of trim missing in the area forward of the gear lever, and the "ash-tray" hatch.



Is this actually something missing, or am I just expecting something to be there?
I guess it seems odd that these screw heads and such would be left exposed... doesn't seem very "VW".

Any suggestions?

Yep. There's a piece of trim missing. You can probably find one at a wreckers for a few dollars.
