  • Jetta TFSI wheels on GTI?

Anyone seen this? I reckon they might look good on my Black GTI, anybody with a Jetta upgraded to bigger wheels and still got them around?

Funnily enough I was recently in America, and noticed that all the GTI s come with our Jetta Turbo alloys.
They have a sports Jetta called the GLI,and that comes with the same alloys as our GTI.
Strange, but they looked good on those models.

Yep, the US GTIs are fitted with Classixs - same as are fitted also to our GTs.

To be honest, I think the wheels on the GT are much better looking than those that come on the GTI.

        My 2 cents...

            Mischa - you've been 'badged'!

One downside to the Classixs is that they're a bit of a bitch to clean (easier than R32s, though!), the GTIs look like a dream in comparison.

On another point (not wishing to highjack or anything...), can 17s still be OK, or do you need 18s or 19s? Have a look at these (both 17") - I think they look pretty good:

When I look at those BBS ones I feel like going to my fridge and grabbing a block of cheese.

I'm not too fussed about the size, but neither of those rims do it for me.

I think you guys are thinking of the wrong rims, the GT rims come on the non-turbo Jetta from what I have seen, and the TFSI Jetta comes with a rim that is sort of a dual-5 spoke design, in a chrome finish.

                  If you look here:

You'll see the rims I am talking about...

Also the Vision rims on the accessory page look pretty nice.

Hmm, on the Passat options there's an "Akiros" wheel that might be the one.

Ahh... I saw a black GTI parked at my work with roof racks and a really nice set of rims. I noticed they were VW stock, but couldn't identify them... Now I know what they were, the ones in that link...

                        Looked hot IMO...

I have these rims on my Jetta, I think they are called Charleston's. Could be a three way deal somewhere along the line as I'm after the Classix in 17". Can anybody out there help us out?
