AC Condenser Fan on MK5 Golf

Hi Guys,

I have had to take off my Radiator housing off the front of my MK5 and once reinstalled, as soon as I had battery connected the AC condenser fan ( smaller one ) comes on without even starting the car.\

Has anyone had this problem before? Any suggestions.....what should I be looking at?

Have you reconnected the ambient temperature sender?

Not sure what that is? ambient temperature sender

Yes usually clipped on the front bumper cover at the passenger side of the centre lower grille.

If this is unplugged or faulty it will cause the fans to operate at 100%

If its not plugged in you wont have your air temp reading on dash display....

In that case , yes I did remove it and installed back again ? let me know what you'r thinking

Either that, or the fan module has picked the perfect time to cark it.

It runs the fan at full speed all the time, and drains the battery.

The sensor be faulty if NOT showing a reading on your dash...does it show say 30oc on dash? If it doesnt and shows nothing then you know sensor has a issue or not connected.......

you havent unplugged one of the coolant temp sensors have you??

Fan control unit is unlikely but not impossible. It is a box of relays effectively so one may be stuck. If all connectors are definitely connected might be worth checking the module.
