Didint take years to save for it, but ive been driving for a long time and this is my first ever brand new car that i have bought. although at appears that i am in the minority among most of my group in that i didnt finance it, im too sporadic to be tied down to repayments and the like. If i can afford to pay for it i have it, if not i wait til i can.
how do you P platers keep affording these cars! It amazes me!
anywho. nice looking golf, pretty respectable for a P plater!
well its kind of embarrasing but mate i am 23 and have been working full time for a good three years in finance industry, i got my P's last year after years of putting it off... so im not a 17 year old sponging off mum and dad hehehehehe!
kind of sad when you think about it.... if i got my P's when i should of, i would be driving a GTI!

I got that ****house reverse parking sensor also. It isn't factory. Did they tell you it was?
I am taking mine in on Friday for it's first "health check" service and I am going to ask about the volume.
My passengers at night almost jump with that blue light and the noise
If I am on the phone the people on the other end ears almost bleed!
I got floor mats from them also, mine are the same but the cut on them doesn't look that bad.
Go back and drill them. They got sick of me after a while but I got what I wanted.
Who sold you the car?
Yeah the Mo-Fo's told me that the volkswagen factory reverse sensors would be fitted and they are the best option as they integrate with the car or something hahaha i should have known I was getting shafted..... its my first time buying a car and will definitely fall for that crap again!
I sourced the car from Inchape/Denlo group.

As soon as I saw them back of the car photo I was thinking they're not factory sensors, the giveaway was the display in the car. They just don't look right and the paint doesn't seem to match. I would rather they installed the sensors in the unpainted section as they won't stand out there.
How much did they charge you? I purchased a kit the same as that (they were factory silver - I had to spray them to suit my wifes car) for $40.
The dealers can fit the factory sensors and they can still charge you the $790-$890. The parts for the factory can be purchased for around $140 from overseas so the dealers would have them under $100. Guess they want to make every dollar they can.
Damn annoying as they always claim they are the proper sensors when you ask, I'd be taking it back and asking for the VW setup where you get a beeper and button in front of the dsg stick. They will claim that these sensors are better or oem quality, the display they will claim is better as it shows you the distances whereas the oem one beeps etc.
Selling crack to Catholic private school kids. That's what I did anyway.
When I saw the word Catholic in there I was thinking of a different kind of crack until I reread and didn't see priest mentioned. Of course I could still be right.

You were lucky! You actually got lied to so you can base your claim on something.
I got offered Aftermarket ones the week before the OEM ones came available.
The OEM part costs $800 and labour, which is outsourced to Strathfield Car Radios (eek!) charges $200 for labour, remove and fit.
They tried to charge me $70 for premium plates when my custom euro plates were at the RTA waiting to be put on.
bastards!
(I love the auto censor, you can type bull****, fat **** and mother****er and you get ****'s)
I would have thought that the OEM one would not require any switch, just put it into reverse.
Mine beeps when i put into reverse, then the beeps get closer until continuous then you are close enough.
Just checked mine, they are the same blue graphite as the bumper.

I'm pretty sure that there is a button that mounts in front of the gear selector to silence the factory pdc (I could be wrong as I couldn't find anything just then on this).
