Cloth to leather interior upgrade, anyone done it?

    I didn't, the seats were just plug and play. The only thing that didn't work was the seat heaters as the non leather model cars don't have a button for it on the climate control panel. Also the electronic lumbar support won't work as the non leather cars have a manual lumbar adjuster. I have been told both of the above can be wired in via an auto electrician, however I never bothered and I haven't had issues.

    I definitely had no errors after the swap though, not even an airbag fault light.

      The seat belt connectors were the same for my swap, it was the yellow airbag connectors that were different so hard wiring them was the answer i.e. cutting the connectors and crimping the wires together.

      According to my VW tech it's been common to do this in the past as the connectors (even then they do mate up) often wriggle around and cause an airbag warning light to come on.
