Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

      Not sure about Australia.
It has just been launched in Mexico as the Bora wagon, and in Canada and Brazil as the Jetta wagon.
It is soon going to be launched in the USA as the Jetta Sports Wagon.
The identical vehicle is called the Golf Variant in Europe.
      Hope it comes here.
It looks impressive, and will be a great addition to the range.

You already have such a wagon here in the Octavia. If you don't mind the classier font end treatment that is... you will also have the extra choice of the impressive 1.8TFSI as well in the wagon for $33k.

You forgot to mention that Octavia wagons are roomier and also more reliable !

ok gregozedobe, if you must... the Octavia Elegance has better equipment levels as well and you will not blend into the sea of Golfs...

Oh and here's another reason to go with the Skoda Elegance 1.8TFSI Wagon.

If you are old, it shows that you are young at heart!

If you are young, it means you have mature tastes with an eye for class and elegance.

                Got all bases covered.

I have been surfing the net,and saw that the Jetta wagon has just been launched in Argentina, where it is called the Vento wagon.
Have a look at www.vwvortex.com for the US Jetta launch story.
Oh,saw 2 Skodas in Melbourne this week, being a grand total of 4 seen since launch.
I dont mind them, just far prefer a VW product.
I have owned 4 VWs...2 in South Africa,1 in America, and 1 here now,in adition to a Ford and Holden product.
All VW s have been superb...although not perfect, but then which car is perfect...
I have been responsable for reccomending many freinds ,relations, and collegues to convert to VW.
Never grew up with Skodas,as they were not,and are still not sold in either America or South Africa.
