Im paying about $1100 for my GTI with NRMA....thats a freaking bargain as far as im concerned....

I'm pretty happy with my GTI insurance.
I'm 23, have one at fault claim in the past 5 years (hit a kangaroo) and no fines or anything. The car is kept in a garage in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide.
$1050 with Just Cars, though I'm ditching them soon. If I hadn't had the kangaroo incident it'd be $900. Nice! I was surprised... I was expecting 50% more given the car and the previous claim. A 2.0TDI was a similar amount of money.
The R36 is probably going to kill me, though... and be nearly double that

VW insurance?
Does anyone know VW offer car insurance as well? saw it somewhere with 3 years new car replacement....Comment

Insurance for R32
MY07 R32 - 29yo garaged in Lindfield (Sydney) and I pay about $1080 per year with GIO which I think is pretty bloody amazing!
I actually got a quote for just under $1K with the new company "Bingle" but since they are under written by AAMI and don't offer choice of repairer of pay by the month I used their quote to screw down GIO .... it worked too!
I was quoted about $1500 for a GTI ... I'm guessing becuase of the big bad turbo!

Funny how sensible drivers become when they turn 25...
I had a couple of insurance companies REFUSE cover because 2 of the drivers of my GT are under 25. "It's supercharged and therefore a sports car, so under 25 - no cover at all". What about an R32? "Is it forced induction?". No. "Certainly...". How about a turbo diesel with the same (125Kw) power output? "Certainly..."
Go figure.

It only shows that it's worth shopping around....
My previous MY03 S3? $<$800 with RYNO (who took 2 weeks to assess a claim
) through a broker.
New A3 tractor: Broker $1200, AAMI $1600, RACV $710....
