Ski port latch issue

Hi, my ski port in my GTI doesn't lock.



The latch seems stuck in the open position.

Anybody had this issue or have fixed it?

Had same issue. Never fixed but here is my solution. Looking at it from the same position you took the picture there is a TINY plastic nipple/tab thing on the right hand side of it. grab your weapon of choice and push it down/pry it abit to release the latch, you will eventually figure it out. You only need to apply a small amount of force but it is obvious when the latch has released since there spring loaded. From here as long as you never pull the handle all the way back the latch wont lock itself in the down position again.

I forgot to update this.

You were right Chong.

The small latch was stuck, so it wouldn't release the spring of the large latch.
