  • removing boot interior to expose wiring

    Hey all,

I've noticed that my rear lights and rear wiper have stopped working. This also includes the boot itself. It use to be just 1 rear light but now its all out. I've checked the bulbs and theyre all in tact. fiddling with the boot door (after manually opening with the release latch inside the car) one light and the wiper began working again. upon more fiddling, its all stopped again so it appears to be some loose wiring in the interior of the boot. I've located a screw in each of the inner handles but am still unable to expose all the wiring and such.

    Any tips/how-to's would be great!

This is likely to be cracked wire where it goes through the rubber tube at top of the hatch (given that many components are out it may be the earth line.)

Definitely look at the harness at the hinge first. You would have to be the most unluckiest person to loose everything in the boot from individual component failure :p
