Hi all,
This is probably a long shot but......
I've had an AVC9000 installed in my mk 5 for what seems like forever with original software. It's been completely fine up until recently when the nav software started to play up.
When "navi" is selected the "Consul" screen is displayed for a second as normal & the Igo8 start screen is shown.
The menu screen comes into view but the "Settings" button activates automatically taking you into the "warning Settings" menu which will make random selections & return to the menu & jump back etc. The touch screen is active but unresponsive & it will jump between menus for about 15 mins, being stationary or moving makes no difference.
After a while it will settle on a screen & the buttons become responsive allowing you to get back to the main menu & start operating the GPS normally. If you exit out of the GPS but leave the AVC9000 powered up the GPS will function normally when selected. If you shut down & reselect after the next start it reverts to the jumping around again.
I know this is an old unit but it's been fine up until recently & this problem only effects the Nav software, radio, CD, ipad, rear camera all operate normally.
If anyone has any ideas aside from taking it out & throwing it away i'd appreciate it.
Phil
