  • Quick MK5 Golf Question

    Hey Guys,

Just wondering, are there any performance modifications that can be done to the MK5 Golf 2.0i FSI?

I've tried googling and only comes up with 2.0T GTI.

If so, what is the most realistic KW at the wheels that can be expected?

    Are there any tunes available?

    Cheers

FSI as in the non turbo 2.0L?

Basically nothing, other than a more free flowing exhaust and the intake.
This will provide minimal gains though and mostly it is seen as pointless so the method chosen for upgrades is to sell and buy something with a turbo.

There would be a few available but given it is naturally aspirated the gains are going to be around the 13HP so not really noticable for the $800 or so.

DNA Tuning seems to do them according to their UK based website.

Best tuning option may be trade in for a GTI?

There are things you can do but the cost is high for small gains :

Extractors that replace the dual catalytic converter system into a single
            Cams
Intake clean and runner flap delete
            Throttle body modifications
            Intake modifications

Thanks guys, I'm happy with the small gains.

I don't really want anything super fast. Just things to keep my interested

Any websites for parts or tunes would be greatly appreciated .

Can only seem to find parts for the GTI, TDI and GT.

                Cheers
