Hi guys...been off the forum for a while...looking at putting a towbar on my 08 jetta for carrying bikes and may be a boat one day. I can get a vw genuine bar for less than a reese one..Its been years since ive fitted one and cant quite remember what they look like.. If anyone has a gen vw bar and willing to take pics with a hitch on and off Id be greatfull.. Google isnt really helping on this one. Im hoping most of the bar is hidden unlike the reese one that sticks out through a bumper cut.... cheers...VDUB...

Yeh.. its a easy fit. My concern is what it looks like with the tongue removed. Hopefully you dont see much as the mrs doesnt want one if it stands out.
