Yeah, I realised that the bulbs that came out were 51w and the new ones are 55w so that accounts for that!

As Miolos2504 and I have found, don't expect a standout 'wow' difference to the stock bulbs. If you want that, you will either need to fit the full HID kit (where this thread started) or LEDs that may get you stopped.
I'm thinking about LED fog light bulbs. I know its probably illegal but I don't use them that often, might give it a shot..

That's interesting. I might get those for $6 as they look fantastic!

They look pretty good. Good seller on ebay too, I bought them on Thursday and got them today so its pretty fast shipping.

Just took the car for a drive.. Visibility has maybe improved I can't really see much difference..

Cheers for all the help. Any differences between the 55w and 65w bulbs? More heat? Less longevity? I can't see too much differences between the Phillips and Osram bulbs to be honest, might just go for whatever is cheaper as I will be buying four of them

Do you want to change your bulbs to get more visibility or you just want them to look white? I think the 65w provide more visibility. There isn't too much difference between the Osrams and Philips and neither of them really look that white. There is also Philips blue vision, I think they might look a bit better then these two. There are Osrams Off Road 65w, which seem to be really bright. Here is the link on ebay, 1X Osram H7 Offroad 65W Bulb Super Bright VW Passat Variant 3B5 1 6 06 97 11 00 | eBay

I might get them for high-beam. Just keep in mind, they are made for off-road use, so I assume they are not legal on the street. Then again I don't think the cops would pull someone over for their lights being too bright.

Metrodirectuk now have the HB4 Osram Nightbreakers back in stock at ~$36 with free postage.

(I asked them to email me when they came back in as they were out when I placed my order).

A weird thing happened as I was going to work this morning. My lights are always set to AUTO, but they turned on when I started the car and it took them around 5,6 minutes to realise that it was day and then they turned off. I thought it could've been the LED's playing up.

I wouldn't worry too much Milos, both my cars do the same thing sometimes. No biggy!

Mine do that all the time, irrespective of the new or old bulbs!

Okay so I guess it has nothing to do with the LEDs then

Good job man I'm sure you will love them.

I am waiting on these Osram Cool Blue Intense H7's (NEW Osram H7 Cool Blue Intense Headlight Bulbs Xenon Look 4200K | eBay) and then I was thinking of getting Osram Cool Blue Hyper for the fogs. Apparently they work at 5000k and are not street legal. I thought maybe they might match the LED parkers nicely

Hopefully I get them next week. I'll take some pics then.

How come you have to swap yours?
