  • How to tell if you have MY06 MY07 or MY08?

My car build date is 08/06 does it mean that it is MY06?
I remember i read somewhere before, if you car build date is after July then it consider the next year car? I am sure someone can clear my doubt here

    Many Thanks

grab the vin from your front windscreen. will be under your left wiper blade. then stick it in this thing. http://www.abvwc.org.uk/vw_vin.htm the 10th character will refer to your manufacture year. (if its a 6 then its MY06, a 7 its MY07 etc etc)

Except if your one of our Yankee golf owners. I think they actually jump a year ahead, ie: a car built in Jan 07 is actually referred to as a 08 model.
I used to be indecisive - now I'm just not sure....
